Congratulations on your Retirement: Meredith’s Reflection on 15 Years of Service
Meredith Zinn, RN
Nurse Advocate Manager
As I prepare for retirement and reflect on my nearly 16 years here at Manatee County, I realize they have been the best of my career. I have met wonderful people who have graciously accepted our help and guidance as they faced numerous medical conditions and navigated the maze of medical care. I have shared in the success of our members who have overcome many illnesses and injuries. I have also shared in the losses with many of our Manatee County families over the years as well; that has been the most heartbreaking part of this job.
I feel we in the Manatee YourChoice office are very fortunate to be part of the Health Plan which has grown exponentially in my years here. I remember how excited we were when the fitness center opened many years ago, and have witnessed how it has grown over time, offering more and more each year. We have very innovative and creative people who strive to offer programs and support to members to enhance their personal wellbeing, and I have been proud to be a part of it all these years.
I have had wonderful people in my department and we shared many laughs, tears and chocolate! There was Charmaine, who taught me so much, then Alice, Vicky, Chris, Barbara, Robyn, Esther and now Alison, Ibrahim and Debbie. Debbie will be taking my place as the Supervisor of Clinical Services division of the Plan and she will be a fabulous fit. She embraces the intent of Health Plan and all the wonderful things that make it so unique and she, Alison and Ibrahim make a great team!
It is time for me to move to semi-retirement in Punta Gorda. I love the quiet, slow pace of this adorable little town. I have been commuting for 4 years and I know nearly every bump on I-75! It is time to say goodbye and I know you will be in good hands going forward. My last day will be Thursday, April 25th. It truly has been a great time!
